These terms
These terms apply to all removals, clearance, packing and storage services supplied by Coventry Removals Group. They are supplemented by the written quote and docket issued for your job, which takes precedence where the two differ.
Quotes and prices
Quotes are fixed and valid for thirty days, based on the information given and the survey carried out. Where the work on the day differs materially from what was surveyed, such as significantly more goods or access that was not disclosed, we will agree any variation with you before continuing.
Booking and payment
A deposit secures your date. The balance is due on completion of the move unless account terms have been agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer and card.
Your right to cancel
If you book with us without meeting us in person first — by phone, email, or through this website — the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within 14 days of booking, for any reason, without giving a reason. To cancel, tell us clearly in writing (email is fine) before the 14 days are up. If you ask us to begin work, such as a survey or booking a crew, before the 14 days have passed, and you later cancel, we may charge for the reasonable value of what was already done. Once your move has been carried out in full at your request within the 14 days, the right to cancel no longer applies. This right sits alongside, and does not replace, the cancellation terms below.
Cancellation
Cancel more than seven days before the move and your deposit is refunded in full. Inside seven days we retain the deposit, since the crew and vehicle are held for you. Where a completion date moves through no fault of yours, we will transfer your deposit to the new date. Nothing here limits your statutory right to cancel described above.
Our liability
We carry goods in transit and public liability insurance. Cover is subject to per-item limits, so please tell us before the move about anything of unusual value so that appropriate cover can be arranged. We are not liable for damage to items packed by you where the packing was inadequate, nor for loss arising from delays outside our control.
Items we cannot move
We cannot transport or store perishable food, plants, live animals, fuel, gas cylinders, paint, aerosols, explosives, illegal items or anything else prohibited by our insurers.
Complaints
Tell us within seven days of the move. Email info@coventryremovals.co with your docket reference and we will respond within five working days.
